CM Reviews Hailstorm-Affected Districts with Collectors, Seeks Report
Revenue Department Directed to Conduct Immediate Assessment
Jaipur : Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma on Saturday held a review meeting with district collectors via video conferencing from the Bharatpur District Collectorate Auditorium. He discussed the impact of the recent hailstorms in various districts and assessed the extent of damage caused.
Shri Sharma directed the Principal Secretary of the Revenue Department to conduct an immediate crop damage assessment (Girdawari) in the affected districts. He specifically instructed the collectors of Sikar, Churu, Bikaner, Jhunjhunu, and Khairthal-Tijara to expedite the survey and submit reports at the earliest. The CM also set a deadline of March 5 for submitting the 7D report, ensuring that compensation to affected farmers can be swiftly provided through SDRF and NDRF funds.
The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary (Water Resources) Shri Abhay Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary (CM Office) Shri Shikhar Agarwal, and Additional Chief Secretary (Public Works) Shri Praveen Gupta, along with other senior officials. Additionally, ACS Disaster Management, Relief & Civil Defense Shri Anand Kumar, Bikaner Divisional Commissioner Dr. Ravi Kumar Surpur, and Jaipur Divisional Commissioner Smt. Poonam participated via video conferencing.
