CM Bhajanlal Sharma’s Bharatpur Visit: Emphasis on Timely Implementation of Budget Announcements
Directs Completion of Infrastructure Development Projects on Time
Jaipur : Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to holistic development and emphasized the timely execution of budget announcements for Bharatpur and Deeg districts. He stated that the 2025-26 state budget aims to enhance public welfare and improve the quality of life for residents. He instructed officials to ensure the effective implementation of budgetary provisions with a well-defined action plan.

Presiding over a review meeting on budget announcements and development projects at the Bharatpur District Collectorate, Shri Sharma stressed the need for robust infrastructure development to foster new avenues of progress in Bharatpur and Deeg. He urged all departments to collaborate and adhere to strict timelines for project completion.
Urban Expansion and Drainage Management
CM Sharma directed the Municipal Corporation and BDA officials to inspect waterlogging-prone areas and formulate a drainage plan. He emphasized strengthening the city’s drainage system and ensuring road levels align with standard norms to prevent future waterlogging issues. Additionally, he instructed authorities to clean old ponds and wells while enhancing water discharge mechanisms.
He also directed departments to coordinate efforts for underground utility projects related to drinking water, electricity, sewage, gas, and telecommunications, ensuring their timely and high-quality completion in alignment with the city’s future expansion and population growth.
Timely Execution of Budget Announcements
Reviewing the progress of department-wise budget announcements, CM Sharma instructed officials to expedite land allotment, financial approvals, tenders, and construction. He directed the Bharatpur and Deeg Collectors to monitor development projects daily and hold weekly review meetings for feedback. Additionally, senior district officers and Additional District Collectors were tasked with overseeing departmental project execution through regular inspections.
Enhancing Irrigation and Sewerage Systems
The Chief Minister stressed the need to accelerate sewerage projects in Bharatpur city and directed officials to relocate government offices from densely populated areas. He called for on-site inspections of the irrigation network to strengthen its core structures. Further, he instructed officials to repair canals, including Bandh Baretha and Sujanganga, and complete the Sawai Kheda flood mitigation lift project within the stipulated timeline.
Strengthening Roads and Tourism Infrastructure
Shri Sharma instructed officials to expedite tourism-related projects such as the Tourist Complex Plaza, Kishori Mahal Plaza, and temple conservation initiatives. He also emphasized timely completion of key projects, including the proposed airstrip in Kumher, development of Poonchri Ka Lotha, a sports college for athletes, and school infrastructure projects.
Additionally, he directed authorities to finalize a suitable location for a Girls’ Sainik School and ensure the timely and high-quality execution of all road projects under the budget.

The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Home Shri Jawahar Singh Bedham, MLAs Shri Bahadur Singh Koli, Dr. Shailesh Singh, Dr. Ritu Banawat, along with senior officials including ACS (Water Resources) Shri Abhay Kumar, ACS (CM Office) Shri Shikhar Agarwal, ACS (Public Works) Shri Praveen Gupta, Secretary (Devasthan) Shri K.K. Pathak, and Secretary (Sports) Shri Neeraj K Pawan.
Additionally, District In-Charge & Transport Secretary Smt. Suchi Tyagi, IG Shri Rahul Prakash, Bharatpur District Collector Dr. Amit Yadav, Deeg District Collector Shri Utsav Kaushal, and other district officials were present. Several departmental secretaries joined the meeting via video conferencing.
