Inauguration of Four New Women’s Police Stations, Focus on Strengthening the Force
Raipur : Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai handed over appointment letters to 840 selected candidates in the Sub-Inspector cadre at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose State Police Academy, Chandkhuri. Speaking at the event, CM Sai emphasized the government’s commitment to enhancing the strength and efficiency of the police force. He stated that policing is not just about catching criminals but also about ensuring security and building public trust in society.
CM Sai highlighted that the role of the police extends beyond maintaining law and order—it is about fostering peace, confidence, and cooperation among the people. He further stated that the state government is working on strengthening cyber security, women’s safety, and policing in Naxal-affected areas, making law enforcement more effective through technological advancements.
Deputy CM Vijay Sharma praised CM Sai’s leadership in empowering the police force, stressing that a uniform is not just a symbol of authority but a responsibility to serve and protect society. He urged the newly appointed officers to respect their uniform and wear it with pride.
During the event, CM Sai inaugurated four new women’s police stations in Jashpur, Raigarh, Jagdalpur, and Dantewada, ensuring a safer environment for women and faster justice delivery. He also announced that the state government is considering new initiatives to further strengthen the police force, focusing on technological upgrades, modern weapons, and advanced training programs.
Director General of Police Arun Dev Gautam addressed the newly appointed officers, calling this a landmark day in their careers. He emphasized that high morale and discipline are essential for becoming an effective and strong police officer.
The event was attended by Arang MLA Guru Khushwant Saheb, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Manoj Pinguwa, and senior officials of the police department.
