Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai Seeks Blessings from Spiritual Guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai met with spiritual guru and founder of The Art of Living, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, at the Chief Minister’s residence today. During the meeting, the Chief Minister sought blessings for the prosperity, well-being, and happiness of the people of Chhattisgarh.

As a symbol of Chhattisgarh’s spiritual and cultural heritage, CM Sai presented Sri Sri Ravi Shankar with a photograph of the world’s largest natural Shivling, Madheshwar Pahad, located in Jashpur district, along with a replica of Nandi crafted in the Bastar Art style.

Ancient Somnath Shivling Relic Brought to Chhattisgarh

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar informed CM Sai that he had brought along a 1,000-year-old fragment of the broken Shivling from the historic Somnath Temple. He explained that this sacred relic had been preserved for centuries by an Agnihotri family and is now being taken across the country for devotees to offer their prayers. On this occasion, the Chief Minister and other dignitaries paid their respects and expressed their devotion upon witnessing the relic.

Discussion on MoU for Rural Development

In line with a prior cabinet decision, CM Sai and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar also discussed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Chhattisgarh Government and the Art of Living’s Vyakti Vikas Kendra India. The MoU aims to promote rural development, livelihood generation, and the overall well-being of rural communities. Both parties deliberated on strategies for effective implementation of the agreement.

Invitation to ‘Shankhnaad Mahasatsang’

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar extended an invitation to CM Sai for the ‘Shankhnaad Mahasatsang’ to be held at Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in Raipur. The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude for the invitation.

The event was attended by MLA Purandar Mishra, MLA Yogeshwar Raju Sinha, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary Dr. Basavaraju S., P. Dayanand, Rahul Bhagat, Public Relations Commissioner Ravi Mittal, and CM Sai’s wife, Kaushalya Devi Sai, along with other family members.
