UP Board Examination 2025 conducted in a fully transparent and copy-free environment

Lucknow : The UP Board examinations were successfully conducted on Wednesday in a fully transparent and copy-free environment. The determined efforts of the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to reform the examination system and eliminate malpractices have yielded remarkable results.

To uphold the integrity of the examination process, the state government implemented a highly confidential strategy and reinforced security through meticulous micro-planning at every level. A review of the past five years’ data clearly reflects the positive impact of these measures on the ground.

Sharp decline in cheating cases

There has been a historic reduction in incidents of creating during exams. A comparative analysis with previous years highlights this remarkable achievement:

–In 2020, 760 candidates were caught cheating, which dropped significantly to 190 in 2022.

–The trend continued in 2023, with only 127 cases reported, while in 2024, the figure declined further to 48.

–In 2025, only 30 cases of cheating were recorded, marking an unprecedented success in curbing examination malpractice.

Strict measures being taken against fake candidates

The government also took decisive action against individuals attempting to impersonate genuine candidates during the exams.

–In 2020, 108 cases of impersonation were recorded, which fell to 47 in 2022.

–In 2023, 133 such cases were reported, decreasing to 37 in 2024 and slightly rising to 49 in 2025, showcasing the administration’s relentless crackdown on fraudulent activities.

Ban on tampering with answer sheets

Before the Yogi government, incidents of answer sheets being written outside examination centers were widespread. However, due to strict monitoring and reforms, such cases have now been nearly eradicated.

–In 2020, 7 cases of answer sheet tampering were recorded.

–The number significantly dropped to 2 cases in 2022.

–No such cases were reported in 2023 and 2024, and only 2 cases surfaced in 2025, highlighting the effectiveness of the government’s measures.

Paper leak incidents under control

The government cracked down on the copying mafia by introducing stringent laws and fortifying the examination system to prevent paper leaks.

–In 2020 and 2022, one incident of a question paper leak was reported.

–Remarkably, not a single question paper leak was reported in 2023, 2024, or 2025, reflecting the government’s strong administrative grip on the examination process.

Premature opening of question papers curbed

Strict surveillance and preventive measures ensured that question papers were not opened before the scheduled examination time.

–In 2020, one case of premature paper opening was recorded.

–Since 2022, not a single such incident has been reported, making it five consecutive years of complete control.

Yogi government’s examination reforms set a national benchmark

Before 2017, UP Board examinations were plagued with rampant cheating and malpractice, severely affecting the credibility of the education system. However, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government has implemented strict policies, technological interventions, and robust law enforcement, bringing about a revolutionary transformation in the examination system.

Today, the UP Board examinations are not just transparent and fair but have also become a model of examination reform for the entire country.
