Two students from Bhopal join Prerna programme
Central Education Ministry’s programme gives children a chance to connect with heritage
The Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, has launched an experiential learning programme called ‘Prerna.’ Two students from Bhopal have been selected to participate in this initiative. Through this program, they have developed qualities of responsible citizenship while fostering pride in their heritage and culture.
Two students from Bhopal, Muskan Malviya of PM Shri School Berkheda and Ashutosh Dwivedi of Mahatma Gandhi CM Rise School Piplani, were selected for the Prerna programme of the Central Education Ministry. They underwent a seven-day training programme in Badnagar, Gujarat. Along with them, teacher Susri. Bhumeshwari Pardhi also participated in the training
Experiential Learning Program
The Prerna programme is driven by a strong commitment to integrating the principles of the Indian education system with the philosophy of value-based education. It was designed by IIT Gandhinagar and serves as a cornerstone of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The curriculum of Prerna School is built around nine core value themes, including self-respect and Modesty Valour and courage, hard Work and Dedication, Compassion and Service, Diversity and Unity, Integrity and Honesty, Innovation and Curiosity, Faith and Trust, and Freedom and Duty.These values aim to inspire the youth to become ideal citizens of the country.Students from various states across India participate in this programme, fostering cultural exchange and mutual understanding. The selected students can learn about each other’s cultures, traditions, and heritage. Special efforts are made to instill a sense of reverence for the elderly. Additionally, participants are taken on educational tours to places of archaeological significance to deepen their understanding of India’s rich history.
Prime Minister’s letter
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has sought the experiences of the students and teachers who went from Bhopal. He has also written a letter and asked them to share the experience gained during the training with other students.
