Budgetary Grant Demands Approved in the Legislative Assembly
Includes Demands for General Administration, Agriculture, Marathi Language, Revenue & Forest Departments
Mumbai : The Maharashtra Legislative Assembly discussed the budgetary grant demands for the financial year 2025-26. After deliberations, the demands for General Administration, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, Fisheries, Revenue & Forest, and Marathi Language departments were presented and subsequently approved in the Assembly.
Minister Manikrao Kokate presented the Agriculture Department’s demands, Minister Ashish Shelar put forth the demands for General Administration and Animal Husbandry, Minister Ganesh Naik presented the Forest Department’s demands, Minister of State for Revenue Yogesh Kadam tabled the Revenue Department’s demands, Minister Nitesh Rane introduced the demands for Fisheries and Dairy Development, and Minister Dadaji Bhuse presented the demands for the School Education, Sports, and Marathi Language departments.
Approved Budgetary Grants:
- General Administration: ₹5,785.03 crore
- Revenue Department: ₹5,160.37 crore
- Forest Department: ₹5,887.75 crore
- Agriculture Department: ₹2,873.39 crore
- Fisheries Department: ₹652.14 crore
- School Education & Sports Department: ₹86,220.31 crore
- Animal Husbandry Department: ₹2,087.14 crore
- Dairy Development Department: ₹236.06 crore
- Marathi Language Department: ₹256.89 crore
The budget allocations for 2025-26 include provisions for mandatory expenses and program expenditures, ensuring financial support for key government initiatives.
