Thorough Investigation of Encroachment on Government Land Near Jalna City – Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule
Mumbai : The report of the Pathak Committee available in the Honorable High Court regarding the encroachment on government land near Jalna city will be obtained. Based on the objective information in this report, a thorough investigation of this matter will be conducted, said Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule in the Legislative Assembly. Member Arjun Khotkar had raised attention regarding this matter.
Minister Bawankule stated that due to the complexities in land transactions at this location, the Pathak Committee was established following the directives of the High Court. The committee has submitted its report to the Honorable Court. The Divisional Commissioner should obtain this report from the Honorable Court.
Minister Bawankule mentioned that until the investigation of this case is completed, a temporary stay has been imposed on the buying and selling of the remaining land at this location. Also, the development of new layouts and the registration process have been prohibited.
Minister Bawankule further stated that the government will provide protection to houses built on this land. If any fraud has been committed in this case, strict action will be taken against the culprits. Citizens who have purchased houses here will not face any trouble. Those involved in fraudulent activities will face strict action under the Revenue Act, Police Act, and other related laws, said Minister Bawankule.
Industrial Estate to Be Established in Shahada, Nandurbar District – Industries Minister Uday Samant
Mumbai : A new industrial estate will be established in Shahada, Nandurbar District. Instructions have been given to start the land acquisition process for this. The government is positive about establishing an industrial estate in Shahada to promote industrial investment and business in this region, said Industries Minister Uday Samant in response to an attention motion in the Legislative Assembly.
Member Rajesh Padvi had raised an attention motion regarding industrialization in Nandurbar District. Member Yogesh Sagar participated in the discussion on this motion.
Minister Samant said that the government is striving to boost industrialization in Nandurbar District to reduce migration from the area. The textile industry from Surat, Gujarat, is moving into Nandurbar District. Textile industry projects worth ₹1,000 crores have come to Nandurbar District, which will definitely increase industrialization there. Students in Nandurbar District will be directly linked to industrial training centers for skill development and training. The entire cost for this will be borne by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation. This is the first such initiative in the state.
An expert committee will be formed to bring Surat’s industries to Nandurbar District. Efforts will be made to boost industrial growth through this committee. Also, if necessary, a meeting will be organized for the industrial estate in Shahada, said Minister Samant.
Skill Development Center to Be Set Up in Pune City – Minister Uday Samant
Mumbai : A large number of students come to Pune for education, and there is also a significant number of young men and women arriving for employment. To enhance the skill development of students and youth in Pune city, a Skill Development Center will be set up under CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), announced Minister Uday Samant in response to an attention motion in the Legislative Assembly today.
Member Vijay Shivtare raised an attention motion regarding issues in villages included in Pune Municipal Corporation. Member Bhimrao Tapkir participated in the discussion on this motion.
In response, Minister Samant said that excluding Fursungi and Uruli Devachi from Pune Municipal Corporation, these two villages have been designated as municipal councils. Based on the population, the municipal council will be granted ‘A’ grade status after the report from the Konkan Divisional Commissioner is accepted. Basic infrastructure work will continue until the transfer of services to the municipal council from Pune Municipal Corporation is completed.
Necessary action will be taken to ensure that property tax is not doubled in newly included villages in the municipal corporation. Until the reassessment is completed, property tax will not exceed double the previous gram panchayat tax. Measures will be taken to prevent inconvenience to citizens due to the Fursungi garbage depot. A detailed project report will be prepared for the water supply scheme from Jambhulwadi Lake, and beautification of the lake will also be undertaken. A meeting will soon be held to resolve issues in the 32 newly included villages in Pune Municipal Corporation. A water supply schedule will be prepared for Fursungi and Uruli Devachi as per citizens’ convenience, added Minister Uday Samant.
Road Repairs Due to Sewerage Project in Akola City Will Be Completed – Minister Uday Samant
Mumbai : Under the AMRUT 2.0 scheme of the Central Government, work on a sewerage project will be started in Akola city. Initially, the work of laying underground sewer pipelines will be undertaken on 96 approved and pending roads. The roads affected by the sewerage project will be repaired, said Minister Uday Samant in response to an attention motion in the Legislative Assembly today.
Member Sajid Pathan raised an attention motion regarding the sewerage project in Akola city. Member Arjun Khotkar also participated in the discussion on this motion.
Providing further details, Minister Samant said that a detailed project report of ₹83 crores has been prepared for the repair of roads affected by the sewerage work. Instructions will be given to the municipal corporation for carrying out road repair works. Funds will not be lacking for tendered works under this project. Apart from the sewerage project, road works funded by approved allocations will also be undertaken in the city.
Instructions will be given to the concerned municipal corporation to prepare a project report for the inclusion of Jalna Municipal Corporation under the AMRUT 2.0 scheme, added Minister Samant.
Compensation for Farmers Affected by Natural Disasters Will Be Given by March 31 – Agriculture Minister Manikrao Kokate
Mumbai : The state government has included compensation for farmers affected by natural disasters in its 100-day action plan. Accordingly, compensation for crop losses will be provided to farmers by March 31, said Agriculture Minister Manikrao Kokate in response to an attention motion in the Legislative Assembly.
Member Rajesh Witekar had raised an attention motion regarding the compensation for crop insurance to farmers affected by natural disasters in Parbhani District and Marathwada. Members Rahul Patil and Sai Dahake also participated in the discussion.
Minister Kokate stated that the state government stands firmly with agriculture and farmers. The necessary funds have been allocated to provide immediate compensation for losses caused by natural disasters, unseasonal rains, and floods.
Minister Kokate mentioned that in the Kharif 2024 season, 7,63,062 farmers in Parbhani District participated in the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, insuring 5,23,858 hectares of land. Due to natural disasters, unseasonal rains, and floods, more than 25% of the total sown area in the district was affected. Hence, the Parbhani District Collector issued a notification approving an advance compensation of 25% to affected farmers.
In the Kharif 2024 season, a final compensation of ₹426.55 crores has been approved for crop losses in Parbhani District. Under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, ₹1,734.26 crores in compensation has been approved for all districts in Marathwada.
From January to December 2024, a total of 4,10,035 hectares of land in Parbhani District was affected by natural disasters. For this, ₹473.44 crores were approved, out of which ₹417.12 crores have been disbursed. In Marathwada, 33,97,891 hectares of land were affected during the same period, with ₹3,067.52 crores approved, and ₹2,458.62 crores disbursed.
For the Kharif 2024 season, ₹2,197.15 crores in compensation has been approved under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. The process to provide the state’s share of the insurance premium subsidy to insurance companies is ongoing, said Minister Kokate.
