Chief Minister Dr. Yadav unveiled Samrat Vikramadityas Dharma-Dhwaj and the booklet Bharat Ka Nav Varsh-Vikram Samvat
Presiding over the cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav unveiled the Vikramaditya Dharma-Dhwaj and the booklet “Bharat Ka Nav Varsh – Vikram Samvat.” In his address, he stated that the festival of Gudi Padwa will be celebrated across the state with great enthusiasm on March 30. He urged ministers to participate in the programs organized in their respective districts on this occasion.
As part of the Vikram Mahotsav, special events will be held in New Delhi on April 12, 13, and 14. These events will include a grand theatrical performance centred on Samrat Vikramaditya. This grand theatrical production, which highlights various aspects of Samrat Vikramaditya’s personality and governance, will also be staged in major cities of the state. Additionally, it will be performed during sector-wise Investors’ Summits and other major events.
CM Dr. Yadav provided details about the unveiled booklet “Bharat Ka Nav Varsh—Vikram Samvat. ” It contains in-depth information about Vikram Samvat, ancient timekeeping methods, traditional instruments, and Vedic clocks. He also elaborated on the significance of dates in Vikram Samvat, the determination of festivals, and the traditional timekeeping system.
Bhoomi-Pujan for Industrial Units to Continue Across Divisions
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that efforts are underway to bring investment proposals to fruition. As part of this initiative, Bhoomi-Pujan for 18 industrial units was conducted in the Gwalior region on March 21. This includes 11 units in Morena, 7 in Gwalior, and 1 in Bhind. Continuing this initiative, Bhoomi-Pujan for 25 industrial units in the Ujjain division is scheduled for tomorrow, including 13 in Ujjain and 12 in other parts of the division. This process will continue across different divisions of the state.
Madhya Pradesh to Get Its 26th Wildlife Sanctuary in Omkareshwar
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to environmental conservation and wildlife protection. Following the successful establishment of two wildlife sanctuaries, the government is now developing a new wildlife sanctuary in Omkareshwar, spanning 614 square kilometres. Notably, this entire area has no human settlements, making it a suitable location for conservation. In the future, it will be developed into a Tiger Reserve.
Drinking Water Facilities to Be Ensured at Public Places
Given the summer season, CM Dr. Yadav directed continuous monitoring of drinking water availability in rural and urban areas and the implementation of appropriate measures as needed. He instructed officials to set up drinking water kiosks (Pyaau) at public places and ensure the availability of water for animals. He also emphasized the proper maintenance of wells, stepwells, ponds, and other water sources, encouraging public participation in the Jal Ganga campaign.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav acknowledged reports of crop damage due to a recent hailstorm in over 400 villages. He instructed officials to conduct a survey and ensure swift disaster relief for the affected farmers.
