Disha Salian Case: Complaint Filed Against Aaditya Thackeray, Rhea Chakraborty, and Others

Mumbai – In a new development in the Disha Salian death case, Satish Salian, father of the deceased, submitted a complaint letter to the Mumbai Police Commissioner’s office on Tuesday. The complaint names Aaditya Thackeray, son of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray and a former minister, as an accused in Disha’s death.

In addition to Aaditya, the complaint also mentions actor Dino Morea, Sooraj Pancholi, his bodyguard, former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh, ex-police officer Sachin Waze, and actress Rhea Chakraborty. Advocate Nilesh Ojha, representing Satish Salian, disclosed this information, alleging that Parambir Singh orchestrated efforts to cover up the case. He accused Singh of holding a press conference and making false statements to protect Aaditya Thackeray.

Ojha further claimed that an NCB investigation report indicated Aaditya Thackeray’s involvement in the drug trade. Disha Salian, a former manager of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, died just a week before Sushant’s death.

BJP Leader Alleges Uddhav Thackeray Tried to Shield His Son

On Saturday, BJP MP Narayan Rane made serious allegations against Uddhav Thackeray, claiming that Uddhav personally requested him not to mention Aaditya Thackeray’s name in the case.

Rane stated, “My demand is that an FIR should be registered based on the evidence gathered so far, and Aaditya Thackeray should be arrested.”

According to Rane, Disha Salian’s father had to approach the Bombay High Court as he had not received justice and had lost faith in the police. He further alleged that when Uddhav Thackeray was Chief Minister, he twice asked Rane to exclude Aaditya’s name from the case.

Disha Salian’s Death and Allegations of Political Pressure

Disha Salian, the former manager of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, died on June 8, 2020, after allegedly falling from the 14th floor of a building in Malad, Mumbai. The police initially ruled her death as suicide. However, her father, Satish Salian, has alleged that she was gang-raped and murdered, and that the case was suppressed under political pressure.

On March 20, 2024, Satish Salian filed a petition in the Bombay High Court seeking a fresh probe into his daughter’s death. He demanded that Aaditya Thackeray, Rhea Chakraborty, and others be named as accused and arrested, along with a CBI investigation under High Court supervision.

In his petition, Satish claimed, “My daughter did not commit suicide; she was murdered. At a Bollywood party, Disha witnessed the rape of a minor in the presence of Aaditya Thackeray, Sooraj Pancholi, and others. To silence her, she was first gang-raped and then murdered.”

He further alleged that her body was later moved near a Malad building to stage it as a suicide.

CBI Findings: No Evidence of Murder

According to media reports, the CBI, which was investigating Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, had concluded in a 2022 report that Disha’s death was accidental. The report stated that there was no evidence of murder or conspiracy.

The investigation suggested that Disha had consumed alcohol at the party and possibly fell from the building, with no direct connection to Sushant’s death.

Contradictions in Disha’s Father’s Statements

Five years ago, on June 8, 2020, Satish Salian had written a letter to the ACP of Malwani, stating that there was no conspiracy in his daughter’s death. He expressed satisfaction with the Mumbai Police investigation and condemned media speculation, calling reports linking his daughter to politicians and Bollywood celebrities “completely fabricated.”

He had also urged the media to stop spreading rumors that tarnished his family’s reputation.

Aaditya Thackeray Responds

Reacting to the allegations, Aaditya Thackeray stated, “On the day of Disha’s death, I was at the hospital with my grandfather. If Disha Salian’s lawyer has anything to say, let them present it in court.”

BJP Leader Reiterates Murder Allegations

BJP leader Nitesh Rane had previously accused Disha of being gang-raped and murdered. However, Disha’s parents filed a case against Rane, calling his statements a malicious attempt to defame their daughter.

Leaked Video Raises Questions

A video that surfaced a few days after Disha’s death reportedly showed her dancing with friends at a party, including her boyfriend Rohan. Media reports claim that Disha posted the video on a WhatsApp group at 11:48 PM on June 8, 2020, and allegedly died about an hour later.

The video fueled speculation, as many questioned why she would die by suicide if she appeared happy just before her death. However, no official confirmation regarding the video’s authenticity has been made.
