Chief Minister offers prayers and performs rituals for Chaitra Navratri
Varanasi : On Thursday, during the auspicious occasion of Chaitra Navratri, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered prayers to Lord Shiva. During his visit to Varanasi, he bowed his head in reverence at Kashi Kotwal Kaal Bhairav and Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
As Gorakshapeethadhishwar, CM Yogi Adityanath performed Darshan-Pooja at Kashi Kotwal Kaal Bhairav before proceeding to Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, where he conducted rituals by tradition.
In the temple’s sanctum sanctorum, he performed the Shodashopachar Puja and prayed for the well-being and prosperity of the people of Uttar Pradesh.
Notably, the Chief Minister had previously performed Puja-Archan at Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Kashi Kotwal Kaal Bhairav, and Annapurna Mata Temple on March 12.
During the Darshan-Pooja, Minister of State (Independent Charge) Ravindra Jaiswal, MLA Neelkanth Tiwari, and other dignitaries were present.
While returning from the temple, CM Yogi Adityanath noticed a young boy preparing lassi at a shop. Moved by the sight, he approached the child, inquired about his well-being, and asked about his studies.
The Chief Minister encouraged him to focus on education, gifted him a chocolate, and motivated him to study diligently.
L&T donated five electric golf carts to Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham to increase visitor convenience. Company officials handed the keys to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who appreciated the initiative.
These golf carts will be used in the Zero Vehicle Zone to assist devotees, particularly the elderly and differently abled, easily reach the temple.
Temple Chief Executive Officer Vishwabhushan Mishra stated that this initiative will enhance accessibility for visitors.
