Union Home Minister: Commendable Role of Security Forces in Ending Red Terror

Raipur : Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah praised the pivotal role of security forces in ending Red Terror during his visit to Dantewada. He met with the brave jawans and lauded their dedication, stating that Bastar is now moving from the shadow of Red Terror towards progress. This transformation, he said, is the result of the valour and relentless efforts of the forces. He acknowledged the remarkable contributions of DRG, CoBRA battalion, Chhattisgarh Police, and paramilitary forces in this mission.

Shri Shah emphasized that the establishment of security camps in interior regions has led to the liberation of many villages from Naxal influence.

He also announced the setting up of specialized hospitals in Raipur and Jagdalpur for the treatment of jawans injured in Naxalite violence. During his heartfelt interaction with the personnel, he assured them that the government stands with them in all circumstances.

The Home Minister also appreciated cultural initiatives like Bastar Pandum, stating that such platforms play a crucial role in taking Bastar’s art, culture, cuisine, attire, jewelry, and music-dance traditions to national and international audiences.
