Patients to Be Shifted to Airoli Burn Hospital via Air Ambulance if Needed; CM Reviews Treatment of Injured Workers

Nagpur : The incident at MPM Company in Umred is truly unfortunate. The government stands firmly with the families who have lost their loved ones in this tragedy. There will be no shortage of resources for the treatment of injured workers. If necessary, patients will be airlifted to the Airoli Burn Hospital via air ambulance, assured Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis while consoling the families of the injured workers in the Umred incident.

CM Fadnavis personally visited the injured workers undergoing treatment at the ORIUS Institute of Medical Sciences in Nagpur and received updates from the doctors. Accompanying him during the visit were District Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar, Critical Care Head Dr. A.S. Rajput, Skin Surgeon Dr. S. Jahagirdar, Superintendent of Police Harsh Potdar, and former MLA Sudhir Parwe, among others.

During the review, CM Fadnavis observed a critical need for a skin bank in Nagpur. He immediately directed District Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar to establish a modern skin bank in the city. Nagpur frequently receives critically injured patients from neighboring states, and there is a consistent demand for skin grafts. The Chief Minister assured that the state government will expedite the necessary actions to establish the facility promptly, based on further inputs from medical professionals.
