Photography Masterclass in Nava Raipur – Youth Learn the Finer Points of Photography

Youth Trained in the Art of Photography
As per the vision of Finance Minister Shri OP Choudhary, NRDA to Offer Internship Opportunities to Young Photographers

Raipur : In line with the vision of Finance Minister Shri OP Choudhary, the Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Development Authority (NRDA) is offering internship opportunities to young photographers. Recognizing that photography is an art form with no age barrier and holds great value in the digital era, this initiative aims to empower the youth to capture compelling images and express their unique perspectives.

It is often said that a picture is worth a thousand words. To help aspiring photographers convey these “thousand words” through their lenses, NRDA collaborated with world-renowned street photographer Shri Vineet Vohra to organize a three-day masterclass from 11th to 13th April. During this event, young photographers from various districts of Chhattisgarh not only learned photography techniques but also gained a new perspective on how to view and interpret the world around them.

Why Nava Raipur Atal Nagar?

Nava Raipur is the world’s first fully integrated and planned city. Its advanced infrastructure, unique architecture, lush greenery, and thoughtfully designed landscapes set it apart from other cities. The masterclass was held here to showcase these distinctive features on a global platform through the lens of talented photographers.

Highlights of the Masterclass

On April 11 and 12, workshops and photowalks were conducted where participants were trained in both technical skills and creative vision. On April 13, during an open talk session at the Samvad Auditorium, Shri Vineet Vohra interacted with over 50 attendees, sharing his insights and deep understanding of photography.

Open-Air Exhibition Draws Praise

An open-air exhibition was held on the evening of April 13 at Atal Nagar Park, showcasing more than 20 photographs taken by the young participants. Visitors appreciated the artistic work, and the exhibition served as a platform for budding photographers to display their talent. The masterclass fostered a new creative community of youth who are now equipped to tell compelling stories of their city and state to the world.

Internships for Young Photographers

With a vision to empower youth, this initiative by NRDA was curated in line with Finance Minister Shri OP Choudhary’s goals. Of all the participants in the three-day masterclass, the top three students with the best photographs will be offered internships with NRDA.

It is worth noting that Shri Vineet Vohra has nearly three decades of experience in photography and is considered one of the top 20 street photographers in the world. His masterclasses are held internationally, and his work uniquely captures the essence of everyday life and ordinary people. According to Vohra, “Street photography is a philosophy,” and it is this distinctive approach that has earned him global recognition.
