Chief Minister Dr. Yadav Conferred with Best State for Promotion of Sports Award

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has been conferred with the Best State for Promotion of Sports award under the ACES Awards 2025. The award was presented by Sportstar, the sports magazine of The Hindu newspaper group.

The award was handed over to Dr. Yadav at Samatva Bhavan (Chief Minister’s Residence) by the magazine’s Editor, Shri V.V. Rajshekhar Rao and National Head Shri Satish Mendan.

Dr. Yadav stated that the state government is making consistent efforts to promote sports from the village level to the state level. Work is underway to establish one stadium in every assembly constituency. Additionally, the process of assigning key responsibilities to sports teachers in colleges and universities has also begun.

Sportstar Editor Shri V.V. Rajshekhar Rao highlighted that Dr. Yadav was honored for the state government’s initiatives in developing sports infrastructure, providing structured training, promoting traditional games, and implementing need-based sports policies. He noted that due to these efforts, the state has achieved remarkable success in the Olympics, Paralympics, Asian Games, and National Games.
