Take Immediate and Serious Action on Electricity, Roads, and Health Issues in Majalgaon – Minister of State Meghna Sakore-Bordikar
Mumbai : Minister of State for Public Health, Family Welfare, Water Supply and Sanitation, Energy, Women and Child Development, and Public Works, Meghna Sakore-Bordikar, has directed that urgent and effective measures be taken to address electricity, road, and health-related problems in Majalgaon and the Majalgaon Assembly Constituency.
She was speaking at a meeting held at the headquarters of the Maharashtra State Electricity Board Holding Company to discuss various issues concerning the Majalgaon constituency. Also present at the meeting were Majalgaon MLA Prakash Solanke, MSEDCL Director Arvind Bhadikar, MSEDCL Project Director Prasad Reshme, MSRDC Executive Engineer Sunita Vanve, Superintendent Engineer Satish Sabne, and Deputy Engineer Atul Kote.
Minister Sakore-Bordikar emphasized the need to ensure a high-quality and uninterrupted power supply for consumers in the Majalgaon area. She instructed officials to expedite work on increasing transformer capacity, setting up new substations, and replacing old power lines — while acknowledging satisfactory progress on some of these fronts.
The discussion also included the state of facilities, availability of medicines, and presence of doctors and other medical staff at primary health centers, sub-centers, and rural hospitals in the constituency.
A detailed presentation was given on the road development projects being undertaken under National Highway 548 (C), particularly the Majalgaon to Kaij (in Beed district) and Majalgaon to Partur (in Jalna district) routes, under the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation.
Minister Sakore-Bordikar concluded by instructing all departments to coordinate closely, maintain work quality, and ensure that developmental projects are completed within the scheduled timeframe.
