Our Government Takes Bold Decisions in Public Interest – Chief Minister Eknath Shinde

Mumbai : The state government is committed to providing justice to all sections of society, including farmers, laborers, youth, and women. Consequently, decisions in the public interest will be made during the monsoon session. While noting that various infrastructure facilities and other development works in the state have been largely completed over the past two years, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde highlighted that our government is one that takes bold decisions in the public interest. He was speaking at a press conference.

Shinde spoke at a press conference following a tea ceremony at Sahyadri Guest House on the eve of the state’s monsoon session, set to begin on Thursday, June 27. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Minister for School Education and Marathi Language Deepak Kesarkar, and Minister for Housing and Other Backward Classes Welfare Atul Save were present on this occasion.

Chief Minister Shri Eknath Shinde announced that over Rs 45,000 crores have been allocated to the farmers of the state in the last two years. Following his re-election for a third consecutive term, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made farmers’ interests a priority. The proposal for the Marathwada Water Grid has been submitted to the Central Government, and initiatives such as Jalyukta Shivar 2.0 have been launched. Significant projects like Samruddhi Mahamarg, Metro, Coastal Road, and Atal Setu have been completed. The Vadhavan Port project is expected to be a game changer for Maharashtra, fostering development in the surrounding areas. Various schemes for women and youth, including “Shasan Aaplya Dari,” have benefited lakhs of people.

Several irrigation projects in the state, including those in Vidarbha, have received revised administrative approval. Maharashtra provides a favorable environment for entrepreneurship, placing it at the forefront of the industrial sector in the country. The recruitment processes for government jobs and police services are progressing swiftly, with some candidates already receiving appointment letters. We are advancing the state’s development agenda. In Mumbai, a world-class 300-acre central park will be built with no construction permitted on the site. Chief Minister Shinde also highlighted that cashless services are being offered under the Balasaheb Thackeray Aapla Dawakhana scheme.
