Kejriwal Mourns Mustafabad Tragedy; AAP Joins Rescue Efforts

Several people tragically lost their lives after being buried under debris when a four-storey building collapsed early Saturday morning in Delhi’s Mustafabad area. Leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) expressed deep sorrow over the incident. Upon receiving news of the collapse, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Assembly’s Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Atishi, and MCD Mayor Mahesh Kumar Khichi, along with other party leaders, conveyed their condolences.

Acting on Arvind Kejriwal’s appeal, AAP karyakartas rushed to the site and began assisting the administration in relief and rescue efforts. Meanwhile, the Mayor directed the MCD Commissioner to conduct an inquiry and take strict action against the officials responsible.

On this, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal took to X and wrote, “The building collapse in Mustafabad is extremely tragic. My heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones in this accident. I appeal to all party karyakartas to fully support the administration in the relief and rescue efforts.”

Meanwhile, LoP in Delhi Assembly, Atishi posted on X, “The building collapse in Mustafabad is extremely tragic. My condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this accident. I urge all AAP karyakartas in Mustafabad to assist the administration in the relief and rescue operations.”

MCD Mayor Mahesh Kumar Khichi wrote on X, “The building collapse in Mustafabad is extremely heartbreaking. I extend my deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this tragic incident. I have directed MCD Commissioner Ashwani Kumar to conduct an investigation into the incident and to suspend the officials found guilty of negligence. I appeal to all AAP karyakartas in Mustafabad to extend full cooperation in the relief and rescue operations and assist the administration in every possible way.”
