The joy of reading a book is the best: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of World Book Day. He expressed hope that everyone would make the most of the book fair and encouraged people to carry at least one book with them on this special day. Emphasizing the unmatched joy of reading, he highlighted how a well-stocked library plays a vital role in gaining knowledge. Referring to the visionary efforts of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the National Education Policy, along with the foresight of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah, he noted that for the first time in the country’s history, a campaign has been launched to offer all technical education, including medical studies, in regional and national languages—where books are emerging as a powerful medium for transformation.

Madhya Pradesh is pioneering to teach medical education in Hindi language

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the Madhya Pradesh government has prioritized the use of Hindi in technical education, turning Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision into reality. The aim is to ensure that every student receives quality education without facing any language barrier. Notably, Madhya Pradesh Medical University in Jabalpur has become the first university in the country to take the historic step of offering medical education in Hindi. Examination papers across various faculties such as medical, dental, and paramedical are now being provided in both Hindi and English. This initiative is especially beneficial for students who may struggle with English but have a strong grasp of the subject matter, enabling them to take exams with greater confidence.

Students are now being encouraged to write their answers in Hindi in examination papers and are also permitted to use Hindi during practical exams. This initiative allows for the assessment of students’ practical knowledge in a language they are comfortable with. Additionally, medical college libraries across the state have been equipped with a sufficient number of medical books in Hindi, ensuring that students have easy access to in-depth study materials in their preferred language.
