Science Laboratories will Aid in Ensuring Speedy and Unbiased Justice : Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the establishment of Regional Forensic Science Laboratories in Rewa and Ratlam is a significant step toward making the state’s justice system more efficient, accessible, and free from doubt. These labs, developed at a total cost of ₹13.50 crore, will facilitate the testing of toxicology, chemistry, and biology-related cases directly at crime scenes across Rewa, Satna, Singrauli, Maihar, Ratlam, Neemuch, and Mandsaur. Dr. Yadav emphasized that the police, forensic science, and judiciary are key pillars of the justice delivery system. The more empowered these institutions are, the greater the safety and security for citizens, and the more effectively criminal activities can be controlled.He shared these remarks during the virtual inauguration of the forensic laboratories from Samatva Bhavan, the Chief Minister’s residence. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla also joined the program virtually.Present at the event were Additional Chief Secretaries Shri J.N. Kansotia and Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Director General of Police Shri Kailash Makwana, and other senior officials.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, significant efforts are underway to make the justice system more people-centric and scientifically advanced. Over 3,000 outdated and redundant laws have been repealed. The new legal framework now includes provisions for recognizing audio-video recordings, videography of forensic evidence, and digital records during investigations. He further noted that modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, video conferencing, mobile applications, and virtual hearings are being widely integrated into court proceedings. Forensic science laboratories have already been established in Bhopal, Sagar, Gwalior, Indore, and Jabalpur. Dr. Yadav said that these progressive steps will contribute significantly to delivere accurate and timely justice to the people.

MLA Shri Mathura Lal Damor, Ratlam Mayor Shri Prahlad Patel were present at the programme organised in Ratlam and District Panchayat Chairman Smt. Neeta Kaul, Inspector General of Police Shri Gaurav Rajput, Collector Smt. Pratibha Pal and other officers were present at the programme organised in Rewa.
