The Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu launched the logo and website for the “Tamil Nadu Global Startup Summit 2025,” which will be organised by StartupTN in Coimbatore.
Chennai : The Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru. Udhayanidhi Stalin, launched the logo and website for the Tamil Nadu Global Startup Summit 2025 today at the Secretariat. The summit is being organised by the Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Mission (StartupTN), which operates under the MSME Department.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu revived StartupTN to promote entrepreneurship among the youth, generate employment opportunities, and support the State’s vision of becoming the leading State in the country. As a result, the number of DPIIT-registered startups in Tamil Nadu has increased more than fourfold—from 2,032 in 2021 to over 10,800 at present. Since 2021, more than 8,000 new startups have emerged, with around 49% of them being led by women entrepreneurs.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has set an ambitious goal of achieving a USD 1 trillion economy by 2030. StartupTN is committed to contributing significantly to this vision by harnessing the potential of entrepreneurs and the State’s dynamic startup ecosystem.
To realise the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s vision of ensuring distributed growth across the State, Regional Hubs have been established over the past four years in 10 districts—Chennai, Madurai, Erode, Tirunelveli, Hosur, Salem, Cuddalore, Thanjavur, Coimbatore, and Trichy.
The Tamil Nadu Global Startup Summit (TNGSS) 2025 is a flagship event scheduled to be held at CODISSIA, Coimbatore, with the objective of positioning Tamil Nadu as a leading startup ecosystem on the global map. The event dates will be announced shortly.
TNGSS will engage over 30,000 stakeholders, including startups, investors, universities, and startup ecosystem enablers from around the world. Unicorn founders, corporates, academia, and policymakers from across India and abroad are also expected to participate.
As part of the summit, a grand startup expo featuring over 750 stalls will be organised, bringing together startups from various sectors, including SpaceTech, climate change management, electric vehicle technology, AgriTech, and artificial intelligence. The expo will also feature participation from government departments, corporates, and incubators. Key components of the event will include knowledge sessions, B2B interactions, investor meetings, and innovation showcases.
The TNGSS website provides seamless access to information on pre-events, main stage sessions, international pavilions, speaker line-ups, and ecosystem partners. Visitors can easily register for delegate and visitor passes, while exhibitors can book stalls through an intuitive 3D-enabled system that allows real-time layout selection and customisation.
Hon’ble Minister for MSME Department, Thiru. T.M. Anbarasan; Additional Chief Secretary, MSME Department, Thiru. Atul Anand, I.A.S.; and Mission Director and Chief Executive Officer of StartupTN, Thiru. Sivarajah Ramanathan, were present during the launch.
