Uttar Pradesh Sanskrit Sansthan bags special national honour

Lucknow/New Delhi : Uttar Pradesh has marked a significant achievement in Sanskrit promotion, with the Uttar Pradesh Sanskrit Sansthan receiving special national recognition—an outcome of the Yogi Adityanath government’s strong policy push and proactive efforts.

The honour was conferred during the valedictory ceremony of the 1008 Mass Sanskrit Conversation Camps, jointly organized by Sanskrit Bharati (Delhi) and Central Sanskrit University at the Delhi University Sports Complex in New Delhi.

The award is a testament to the sustained initiatives undertaken by the state government over recent years to promote, preserve, and mainstream Sanskrit. These efforts include appointing Sanskrit teachers, organising conversational training camps, modernising Sanskrit curricula, and dedicating budgetary allocations to the language’s advancement.

The recognition is a significant achievement for the Uttar Pradesh Sanskrit Sansthan and a national endorsement of the Yogi government’s progressive language policy.

Coordinator Radha Sharma accepted the award on behalf of the Sansthan and credited the honor to the Yogi government’s vision, commitment, and unwavering support. She emphasized that the accolade reflects the success of the state’s education and cultural policies.

Numerous institute trainers played a pivotal role in this campaign’s success. Notable contributors include Anju Mishra, Aastha Shukla, Deepika Mishra, Dr. Diwakar Mishra, Dr. Satyaprakash Mishra, Garun Mishra, Geeta Vashishtha, Kirti Atri, Khushi Sharma, Neetu Saxena, Priyanka Shukla, Shivpratap Mishra, Rajneesh Tiwari, and Rudranarayan Pandey, among others.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Sanskrit scholars, educators, students, and enthusiasts nationwide. Many hailed the recognition as a “golden moment in the renaissance of Sanskrit in Uttar Pradesh” and resolved to contribute even more earnestly to the cause.

Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah graced the event as the chief guest. Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta was also present, while Shri Jaiprakash, Organizational Secretary of Sanskrit Bharati, delivered the keynote address. Dr. Vagish B. G., State President of Sanskrit Bharati, Delhi, presided over the proceedings.
