Nation Rallies Behind Forces: ‘Jai Hind’ Rings Out as Leaders Across Spectrum Hail Operation Sindoor
New Delhi : A wave of patriotic fervour swept across India on Wednesday as leaders from the ruling party and the opposition came together to salute the Indian Army’s precision strikes deep inside Pakistan, following the brutal Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 civilian lives.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh led the tributes, hailing the Indian Army’s decisive action under ‘Operation Sindoor’. Taking to social media, he declared, “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”, applauding the armed forces for their strategic and precise retaliation.
Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju echoed the sentiment, posting “#OperationSindoor #JaiHind” on X. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw also joined in with a simple but powerful “Jai Hind”, while Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wrote, “Jai Hind! Jai Hind Army!”, sharing the Indian Army’s official poster of the operation.
Former Union Minister Anurag Thakur also expressed admiration for the forces, saying, “Jai Hind, Jai Hind’s Army.”
In a show of rare political unity, several opposition leaders also extended support to the military operation. Tejashwi Yadav, Leader of the Opposition in Bihar, said, “Hail India! There should be neither terror nor separatism. We are proud of our brave soldiers and the Indian Army.”
Aaditya Thackeray, leader of UBT (Shiv Sena), praised the precision of the strikes and underscored the need to eliminate terrorism in all its forms. “Hit them hard enough that terrorism doesn’t stand a chance ever again. Jai Hind!” he posted.
Veteran leader Lalu Prasad Yadav and Congress MP Imran Pratapgarhi also raised slogans of “Hail India! Hail the Indian Army!” and “Jai Hind, Hindustan Zindabad”, respectively.
Earlier in the day, the Indian Army confirmed that nine high-value terror targets were struck deep inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoK). According to a statement issued by the Army, the strikes were measured, focused, and non-escalatory, aimed strictly at terror infrastructure.
“A little while ago, the Indian Armed Forces launched ‘Operation Sindoor’, hitting terrorist infrastructure from where attacks against India have been planned and directed,” the Army said.
Reiterating India’s restraint and precision, the statement added, “No Pakistani civilian, economic, or military facilities were targeted. Justice is served. Jai Hind.”
The Army clarified that the strikes were India’s direct response to the April 22 Pahalgam attack, in which 25 Indian tourists and one Nepali citizen were murdered. “We are living up to our commitment that those responsible for this attack will be held accountable,” the Army affirmed, adding that a detailed briefing would be conducted later.
On the other side of the border, Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry confirmed the Indian missile strikes, stating that Kotli, Bahawalpur, and Muzaffarabad were hit. He described the strikes as “cowardly,” while tensions between the two nuclear nations continue to rise.
Despite the geopolitical implications, the Indian government’s message remains clear: terrorism will not be tolerated, and those responsible will face the consequences.
As the nation unites in solidarity with its armed forces, the words “Jai Hind” echo across the political landscape—resonating with pride, resolve, and unwavering support for India’s fight against terror.
