CM Dr. Yadav Pays Floral Tribute to Martyrs at Shaurya Smarak
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited the Shaurya Smarak (War Memorial) in Bhopal on Saturday evening to pay homage to the martyrs. He offered floral tributes at
the statue of Bharat Mata located within the memorial complex. Present on the occasion were MLA Shri Bhagwan Das Sabnani, Shri Rahul Kothari, Shri Ashish Agrawal, several other public representatives, social workers, and a large number of citizens.
Dr. Yadav extended his congratulations to all Indians for India’s growing strength under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He stated that India is now among the nations capable of swiftly neutralising its enemies. Seeing the tricolour held high by women and children during the Indian Army’s valour exhibition at the memorial was a matter of pride and joy, he added.
Referring to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Dr. Yadav said, “On April 22, terrorists brutally killed innocent people in Pahalgam. These terrorists were backed by Pakistan. Gone are the days when they thought they would be safe across the border. Now, even the Pakistani army is on the back foot. On the night of May 6 and 7, India launched attacks on nine terror bases and delivered a powerful blow.”
Dr. Yadav highlighted that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, this marks the third instance of India demonstrating its military might decisively. “First, we carried out a surgical strike, eliminating enemies inside their territory and safely returning. Second, Indian Air Force jets conducted an airstrike on terrorist camps in Pakistan, after which Pakistan had to return Indian pilot Abhinandan safely. Now, following the Pahalgam attack, India has taken decisive action in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and other terror hubs in Pakistan. The armed forces were given a free hand by the Prime Minister, and they have successfully destroyed drones and other weapons used by the enemy.”
He further emphasised that under PM Modi’s leadership over the past decade, India has made significant progress in defence and other sectors. “India is now the world’s fifth-largest economy. The armed forces have been equipped with modern technology and weapons, including the Rafale fighter jets and advanced air defence systems, which have made a significant impact.”
Applauding the Indian Army’s bravery, the Chief Minister said that this chain of events has enhanced India’s global reputation and made the world take note of its strength.
Dr. Yadav concluded by affirming that the Madhya Pradesh government is progressing by including every section of society. “This is a time to stand firmly with our armed forces, which is why we’ve decided to organise Tiranga Yatras (Tricolour Marches). Through these, the spirit of patriotism will be expressed publicly by all sections of society.”
