Speed Up Super Specialty Hospital Work at J.J. Hospital: Minister Madhuri Misal
Mumbai : The construction of the Super Specialty Hospital building at J.J. Hospital must be expedited, said Minister of State Madhuri Misal. She emphasized that once completed, the facility will offer a wide range of medical services under one roof, greatly benefiting patients in need. She directed officials to plan for completion by October.
Minister Misal visited J.J. Medical College and reviewed the ongoing hospital work. During her inspection and review meeting, she was accompanied by Secretary Dheeraj Kumar, Commissioner Rajiv Nivatkar, Director Dr. Ajay Chandanwale, Dean Dr. Ajay Bhandarwar, Superintendent Dr. Sanjay Surase, and other officials and staff.
Minister Misal inspected various departments, including cardiology, neurosurgery, general surgery, ICU, and the nursing home. She reviewed the advanced medical equipment being used for patient care in these departments. She also addressed staff grievances, recruitment for vacant posts, and hostel facilities for doctors.
She discussed the quality of food provided to patients, availability of scanning services, operation theatre readiness, and the supply of essential surgical materials. Highlighting the evolving needs of medical students, she instructed officials to ensure the provision of modern facilities tailored to their academic requirements.
J.J. Hospital, a prestigious institution with a 180-year legacy, has been honored with the “Best International Video Abstract” award. Minister Misal stressed the importance of completing the ongoing Super Specialty Hospital project on time to further enhance the hospital’s legacy and services.
