Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana: Fulfilling the Dream of Permanent Homes
Over 4,000 Beneficiaries Celebrate Housewarming as They Receive the Keys to Their New Homes
Raipur : The long-cherished dream of owning a permanent home is becoming a reality for many families across the state. Under the ambitious and welfare-oriented Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), jointly implemented by the Central and State Governments, people in both urban and rural areas are being provided with solid, permanent housing.
Thanks to the continued efforts of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and the Department of Panchayat and Rural Development, 4,322 rural residents of Jashpur district have been granted permanent houses under the PMAY–Gramin scheme. Upon completion of these houses, a state-wide housewarming celebration (Griha Pravesh Utsav) was organized, during which beneficiaries were formally handed the keys to their new homes.
Under the guidance of Jashpur District Collector Shri Rohit Vyas, the implementation of PMAY was regularly reviewed and closely monitored to ensure timely completion. As a result, 4,322 houses have been successfully constructed. A special ceremony was held to mark the housewarming of these homes, where beneficiaries officially moved in and received the symbolic “keys to happiness.”
