Prime Minister to Inaugurate 103 Redeveloped Railway Stations Under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme

Raipur : Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate 103 redeveloped railway stations across the country under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme on May 22, 2025, at 9:30 AM. These stations have been upgraded with the aim of providing world-class facilities to passengers. On this significant occasion, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai will participate in the inauguration ceremony at Ambikapur Railway Station.
Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, a total of 1,337 railway stations across India are being modernized, out of which 103 stations are now fully ready. Among these, five stations are located in Chhattisgarh. These include Ambikapur Station in the Bilaspur Division, Urkura, Bhilai, and Bhanupratappur Stations in the Raipur Division, and Dongargarh Station in the Nagpur Division.
These stations have been given a modern look and upgraded facilities. The amenities include grand entry gates, attractive facades, high mast lighting, modern waiting halls, ticket counters, modern toilets, accessible ramps for the differently-abled, platform shelters, coach indication systems, and digital displays. Additionally, local folk art, culture, and traditions have been incorporated into the station designs.
