₹105 Crore CIIIT Sanctioned for Roha MIDC in Raigad District
Tata Technologies Sends Approval Letter to Deputy CM Ajit Pawar
Mumbai : After Beed, Nanded, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, a new Centre for Invention, Innovation, Incubation, and Training (CIIIT) worth ₹105 crore has now been approved for Roha MIDC in Raigad district. Tata Technologies has sent the official approval letter to Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, confirming the establishment of the center in collaboration with the Maharashtra state government. The new CIIIT will provide industry-relevant, employment-oriented skill development, including training in cutting-edge AI technologies, for the youth of Raigad.
Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare and Member of Parliament Sunil Tatkare have expressed satisfaction over the development.
Out of the total cost of ₹105 crore, ₹89 crore will be funded by Tata Technologies, and ₹16 crore will be contributed by the state government and district administration. This CIIIT in Roha is the fourth center approved in Maharashtra within the past four months, thanks to the consistent efforts of Deputy CM Ajit Pawar.
Following his correspondence, Tata Technologies approved the Beed center within two weeks, the Nanded and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar centers within six weeks, and now the Roha CIIIT in four months.
These centers are expected to transform the employment landscape by providing advanced skill development training to youth in all four districts, while also creating an industry-supportive environment.
The upcoming CIIIT at Roha MIDC will offer world-class, AI-integrated training and technical skills to youth from Raigad and the Konkan region. It will also open up employment and self-employment opportunities, while helping industries access skilled manpower locally. Furthermore, the center aims to support startups and industrial innovation across Konkan.
It is projected that 3,000 youth will be trained each year, contributing significantly to developing an industry-friendly ecosystem in the region.
For the first three years, Tata Technologies will bear the entire training cost. After that, Tata Technologies and the district administration will share the cost equally (50% each) every year. This initiative will enable industrial and technical upskilling aligned with industry demands, thereby enhancing employability and attracting industries to Raigad and the wider Konkan region.
