“Amit Shah to Address ‘Sahkar Se Samriddhi’ on International Day of Cooperatives”

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, will address the “Sahkar Se Samriddhi” conference on the occasion of the 102nd International Day of Cooperatives in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, on Saturday, 6th July 2024. The Ministry of Cooperation is organizing the conference to celebrate this annual event, which also marks the 3rd Foundation Day of the Ministry. The theme for the day is “Cooperatives Build a Better Future for All.”

At the conference, Shri Shah will launch a scheme offering 50% assistance for farmers purchasing nano-fertilizer under the AGR-2 Scheme for FY 2024-25. He will also initiate payments to three farmers and launch ‘Bharat Organic Atta’ by the National Cooperative Organics Limited (NCOL).

Shri Shah will visit Changda Milk Producers Cooperative Society in Banaskantha, review transactions via RuPay KCC at Micro-ATMs, and distribute zero-interest RuPay KCC cards to women cooperative members. In Panchmahal district, he will visit Angadia Arthksham Seva Sahakari Mandli and Aashapur Chhariya Milk Cooperative Society, engaging with cooperative members and reviewing dairy operations.

Under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership and Shri Amit Shah’s guidance, the Ministry of Cooperation has launched over 54 initiatives in the cooperative sector. This conference will reinforce the theme of building a better future through cooperatives and aligns with the declaration of 2025 as the International Year of Cooperatives by the United Nations.
