PHED Minister Reviews Drinking Water Situation in Pali District, Issues Necessary Directions
Animal Husbandry Minister Stresses on Keeping Water Supply, Livestock Health and Medical Services on Alert Mode During Summer
Jaipur – Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) Minister Shri Kanhaiyalal Chaudhary chaired a departmental review meeting on Friday at the Pali Collectorate, where he assessed the current drinking water situation, demand and supply, and reviewed the status of ongoing and proposed water supply projects in the district. He issued directions based on the discussions. Animal Husbandry Minister Shri Joraram Kumawat also participated in the meeting, offering inputs and suggestions regarding water distribution.
Shri Chaudhary reviewed water availability, supply, and project progress across all blocks of the district — Pali, Marwar, Sojat, Bali, Sumerpur, and Rohat — in both rural and urban areas. He directed officials to ensure smooth and timely water distribution during the summer and to launch a campaign to disconnect illegal water connections.
He also instructed that water be supplied via tankers in water-scarce areas and emphasized the need for proper monitoring to ensure equitable distribution. On this occasion, he reviewed progress under various water supply schemes, including approved and pending works under the Jal Jeevan Mission and AMRUT 2.0, and issued necessary guidelines.
During the meeting, Minister Shri Joraram Kumawat specifically called for solutions to drinking water issues in Sumerpur region.
Marwar Junction MLA Shri Kesararam Chaudhary presented updates on water supply in his constituency. Former Pali MLA Shri Gyanchand Parakh and former Municipal Chairman Shri Mahendra Bohra also shared suggestions and raised demands. Pali District Collector Shri L.N. Mantri provided an overview of the current district status, emergency arrangements, inspection updates, and project details.
