Focus on Employment Generation and Vidarbha’s Development – DCM Devendra Fadnavis

Nagpur : Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis emphasized the creation of well-equipped industrial zones in Vidarbha to generate more employment opportunities. He stated that international business groups are now being attracted to Nagpur. The new state-of-the-art project by Japan’s Horiba Company, which operates in various countries, has given Nagpur’s industrial sector a new identity.

The foundation stone for the facilities center of Japan-based Horiba Company, located in the Butibori Industrial Estate, was unveiled by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis spoke at the ceremony, which was held in the company premises at Butibori. Also present at the event were Horiba’s Chairman Atsushi Horiba, Horiba India’s Chairman Dr. Jay Hakhu, Corporate Officer Dr. Rajeev Gautam, former MP Dr. Vikas Mahatme, and other dignitaries.

Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Fadnavis further stated that this project, established with an investment of approximately 200 crores in the Butibori Industrial Estate, will provide essential diagnostic equipment to around 30,000 diagnostic labs across India. Horiba’s work on solutions and electronic chips for diagnostic laboratories is crucial for the medical field. This company’s foundation was laid by me three years ago on approximately 12 acres of land, and I am delighted that the work has been completed on a war footing, said the Deputy Chief Minister.

Nagpur is now not only an attractive metropolis but also one that is fully equipped with infrastructure facilities. Mr. Fadnavis assured that the land and infrastructure required for the company’s future projects will be provided.

India has quickly caught the attention of the world as a hub for medical tourism, currently ranking tenth globally. With world-class facilities and expert medical services in the medical sector, we will give the world a unique identity. Additionally, India has now become a hub for semiconductors.

The Horiba Company should consider setting up a semiconductor project here. We are always ready to cooperate with such new projects, stated Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis. He expressed confidence that Horiba’s facility center in Nagpur will set a standard of excellence.

Union Minister of Road Transport Nitin Gadkari said that the arrival of various industrial companies in the industrial estates of Nagpur will boost local employment. Efforts are being made for the social and economic progress of Vidarbha, he added. This step is crucial for realizing the concept of Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India). Gadkari emphasized that efforts are needed at all levels for India to become the third-largest economy in the world.

The government’s policy has been to promote the industrial sector. All kinds of cooperation will be provided for this purpose. Gadkari stated that they are committed to the development of industrial estates.
