CM Rekha Gupta Begins Spiritual Journey in Uttarakhand After Completing 100 Days in Office

Haridwar: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who recently completed 100 days at the helm of the national capital, embarked on a two-day spiritual visit to Uttarakhand on Sunday, accompanied by her family.

The visit commenced with a sacred dip at the iconic Har Ki Pauri ghat in Haridwar, followed by special prayers and rituals offered to Goddess Ganga. Speaking to the media after the ceremonies, CM Gupta shared her sentiments: “After completing nearly 100 days in office, I have come to this sacred land of Haridwar and took a holy dip in the Ganga with my family. Bowing at the feet of Maa Ganga, I pray for a Viksit Bharat, where Delhi contributes meaningfully as a model of prosperity for the nation.”

Later, CM Gupta visited the ashram of spiritual leader Sadhvi Rithambara alongside Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Together, they inaugurated the newly built ‘Vatsalya Ganga Ashray’, a Dharamshala intended to serve pilgrims and devotees in Haridwar.

Her itinerary also includes participating in the evening Ganga Aarti in Rishikesh, a spiritual spectacle attended by thousands of devotees daily. Sources confirmed that CM Gupta will proceed to visit the revered Kedarnath shrine on Monday.

This spiritual retreat comes on the heels of the BJP-led Delhi government marking its first 100 days in office on Saturday. To commemorate the milestone, the administration released a ‘workbook’ summarising key achievements and outlining future plans under CM Gupta’s leadership.

Sharing the update on X, she wrote: “On the completion of 100 days of service of the BJP government in Delhi, a workbook was released, which includes details of major achievements so far and future plans.”

The BJP returned to power in Delhi after 27 years, following a landslide victory in the February Assembly elections. The 100-day performance report highlights strides in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and women’s safety—areas CM Gupta has identified as core priorities.
