CM Dr. Yadav Requests to Union Home Minister Amit Shah for CBI Inquiry into Case

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav urged Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah to order a CBI inquiry into the matter.CM Dr.Yadav held a discussion with Meghalaya Chief Minister Shri Conrad K. Sangma regarding the tragic incident involving a newlywed couple from Indore who were on a trip to Meghalaya.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated in a post shared on the social media platform ‘X’ on Saturday, that the Madhya Pradesh government stands firmly with Smt. Sonam Raghuvanshi’s family in this difficult time. Senior police officers from Madhya Pradesh are in continuous coordination with officials in Meghalaya, and all possible efforts are being made to ensure the safe return of Smt. Raghuvanshi.

Smt. Sonam and her husband Shri Raja Raghuvanshi had travelled to Shillong. After both went missing, the NDRF and local police launched an extensive search operation. Eight days later, the body of Shri Raja Raghuvanshi was found in a deep gorge. The search for Smt. Sonam Raghuvanshi is still underway.
