While implementing basic projects, citizens’ resettlement should be handled with sensitivity – Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri. Fadnavis emphasized that while developing various infrastructure facilities in the Bandra West area, care should be taken to ensure minimal inconvenience and resettlement of local residents during land acquisition. The process of redevelopment should be implemented positively by adhering to rules and conditions, including the construction of permanent housing for slum dwellers and Annexure-2 for slum rehabilitation at the same location. Additionally, he directed the maintenance and repair of Mhada Maidan No. 1 at Bandra Reclamation, as well as 500 square feet in Khar and Bandra. On this occasion, he instructed to review regulations and take necessary steps for obtaining NOC (No Objection Certificate) from MHADA for the construction of the Samaj Mandir at Foota.
He also oversaw the beautification of the entire Promenade using CSR funds from ONGC, establishment of the Virangula Center for senior citizens, construction of the ramp road at Bandra Reclamation, redevelopment of houses in Koliwade and Gavthan, repairs of houses in Koliwada, and provisions in the Development Control Regulations for residences in Koliwade and Gavthan. Furthermore, initiatives for the redevelopment of buildings in the Funnel Zone, sewage treatment plant at Bandra, and commencement of the Skill Development Center at RV Technical High School were reviewed by Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis.
