Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami Holds High-Level Meeting Ahead of 25th Meeting of Central Zonal Council in Varanasi
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami chaired a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence on Thursday to review preparations for the 25th meeting of the Central Zonal Council, scheduled to be held on June 24 in Varanasi (Banaras) under the chairmanship of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to prepare concrete and innovative proposals aligned with the spirit of balancing ecology and economy, in order to accelerate the comprehensive, sustainable, and balanced development of the state.
During the meeting, he directed officials to lay special emphasis on the nutrition, physical and mental development of children in the state. He said that children’s future is the future of the state and the nation, and thus, a consolidated and goal-oriented strategy should be devised for their holistic development.
The Chief Minister emphasized coordinated efforts among the ICDS (Integrated Child Development Services), Food Security Department, Health Department, and Sports Department, ensuring children receive proper nutrition, sports opportunities, healthcare, and attention to mental well-being.
He also instructed that mandatory registration under the Ayushman Bharat scheme be ensured in all government hospitals. He stressed that every citizen of the state must benefit from the scheme, and that it should be a top administrative priority.
To ensure swift assistance during emergencies, the Chief Minister directed increased promotion and awareness of the 112 Helpline Number, so the general public can access help when needed.
Additionally, he instructed the Women and Child Development Department to regularly review cases of malnutrition and anaemia, and to run campaigns to improve children’s health. He also emphasized the need to strengthen monitoring and evaluation mechanisms at the district level for such initiatives.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary Shri R.K. Sudhanshu, Additional Director General of Police Shri A.P. Anshuman, Secretary Shri Vinod Kumar Suman, Director General of Information Shri Banshidhar Tiwari, and other senior officials.
