District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni Holds Public Grievance Hearing – Swift Redressal of Citizens’ Issues at District-Level Jan Sunwai

A district-level public hearing (Jan Sunwai) was organized on Thursday at the District Collectorate Auditorium, where District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni personally heard and addressed grievances from the public. A total of 182 petitions, including 86 related to revenue matters, were received during the session, out of which 22 grievances were resolved on the spot. For the remaining cases, Dr. Soni instructed the concerned departmental officers to ensure timely and effective action. MLA Prashant Sharma was also present during the hearing.

Grievances received included issues such as removal of encroachments, initiation of pension benefits, access to government welfare schemes, regularization of drinking water supply, path access through agricultural land, old-age pensions, road construction, issuance of residential leases, land mutations, and other land-related disputes. Dr. Soni directed officials to resolve these matters with accountability and commitment, ensuring relief to the complainants.

It is noteworthy that Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma is deeply committed to the timely and quality resolution of public grievances. He has instructed district administrations to conduct regular Jan Sunwai sessions in a transparent and sensitive manner to ensure that the voices and concerns of citizens are addressed swiftly.

Present during the public hearing were Zila Parishad CEO Smt. Pratibha Verma, Additional District Collectors Smt. Vinita Singh (I), Shri Ashish Kumar (II), Smt. Kuntal Vishnoi (III), and Shri Santosh Kumar Meena (IV & South), Mukesh Kumar Mund (North), along with senior officials from Medical and Health, Police, Electricity, PWD, PHED, Agriculture, Forest, Revenue, and other related departments.
