Chirayu Scheme Gives Surekha a New Life: Young Girl Recovers from Severe Heart Ailment, Declared Fully Healthy by Specialists

Raipur : The government’s ambitious Chirayu Scheme has once again proven to be a lifesaver for children in need. A young girl named Surekha from Maharajganj village in Balrampur district has received a new lease on life after battling a severe heart condition. During a recent health camp, specialist doctors confirmed that she has made a full recovery.

Surekha was born with a hole in her heart, a condition that was detected during a health screening camp organized at her school. The diagnosis left her parents deeply worried, but the Chirayu Scheme offered them a ray of hope. Under this initiative, Surekha was referred to Sri Sathya Sai Hospital in Raipur, where she underwent a successful surgery completely free of cost. All expenses—including tests, surgery, medicines, and post-operative care—were covered under the scheme.

During a two-day mega health camp, Surekha was brought back for a follow-up examination, where specialist doctors from Sri Sathya Sai Hospital declared her completely healthy and issued a certificate of good health.

Surekha’s father, Mr. Kundlesh, expressed his emotions, saying that due to their weak financial condition, getting their daughter treated in a big city was unimaginable. However, with the support of the district administration and the health department, not only did the treatment become possible, but Surekha is now fully recovered and can play and live like any other child.

He said, “The Chirayu Scheme not only saved my daughter’s life but also restored her childhood. For families like ours, it is nothing short of a blessing. I sincerely thank Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai, Health Minister Mr. Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, the district administration, and the entire medical team.”

It is worth noting that under the Chirayu Scheme, thousands of children across the state have been treated and relieved from serious illnesses. This initiative stands as a meaningful step towards ensuring the health and brighter future of children.
