Higher & Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil Visits Sir J.J. School of Art

Instructs Timely Completion of New Art Gallery

Mumbai : Maharashtra’s Minister of Higher and Technical Education, Chandrakant Patil, visited Sir J.J. School of Art to inspect the ongoing construction work within the college premises.

During the visit, he was accompanied by Additional Chief Secretary of the Higher and Technical Education Department B. Venugopal Reddy, Deputy Secretary Santosh Khorgade, Commissioner of State Common Entrance Test Cell Dilip Sardesai, College Director Prof. Rajiv Mishra, and officials from the Public Works Department.

Minister Patil closely reviewed the construction activities and emphasized that the work must be of high quality and completed within the stipulated time. He also approved the proposal to set up a state-of-the-art “Art Gallery” in the college through the Centres of Research & Creativity (CRC) Fund, aimed at preserving and showcasing the rare and historic art collection within the campus.

He directed that the construction of the gallery be completed by December 30, 2025.

Minister Patil further stated that the new art gallery will strengthen the academic and cultural legacy of a prestigious institution like Sir J.J. School of Art.
