Issues of CMRC Employees Will Be Resolved: Minister of State for Women and Child Development Meghana Bordikar
Mumbai : The government is positive and sensitive towards the demands of employees working under the Community Managed Resource Centers (CMRC) established by MAVIM (Mahila Arthik Vikas Mahamandal), particularly regarding honorarium and other employment-related issues. Minister of State for Women and Child Development Meghana Bordikar assured that efforts will be made to resolve the concerns raised by these workers.
A meeting was held at HSBC Bank, Fort, to discuss the various challenges faced by the CMRCs under the Women and Child Development Department. Minister Meghana Bordikar presided over the meeting. Present at the meeting were Department Secretary Dr. Anupkumar Yadav, MAVIM Deputy Director Nandini Dahale, Finance Department Under Secretary A.M. Dahale, Women and Child Development Deputy Secretary Sunil Sardar, MAVIM General Manager Mahendra Gamre, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh State General Secretary Gajanan Gatelwar, along with representatives Madhav Lohe, Padmavati Gaikwad, Suresh Gogle, Sunil Chavan, Smita Kamble, and Rahul Shinde.
Minister Bordikar stated that the community-managed centers established by MAVIM are self-sustaining institutions, which have successfully implemented a self-reliant operational model across Maharashtra. She emphasized that the state government is committed to addressing the needs of employees working in CMRCs.
She also mentioned that proposals have been submitted to the government seeking revolving funds for MAVIM-initiated self-help groups and annual financial assistance for CMRCs. These proposals are being actively pursued, and efforts will be made to resolve these matters at the earliest, she assured.
