Youth Showcase Enthusiasm at “Run Against Drug Abuse” Marathon
Jaipur : On the occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuse, thousands of participants took part in the early-morning marathon titled “Run Against Drug Abuse”, held Thursday from Gandhi Circle to RIC, starting at 5 AM.
Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Shri Avinash Gehlot joined the marathon’s warm-up session and appealed to young people to stay physically fit and steer clear of drugs. “The ‘war against drugs’ is not merely a campaign but a commitment that every individual must embrace,” he urged.
During the run, members of the Rajasthan Police’s Nirbhaya Squad, NCC cadets, Scouts, and thousands of other young participants ran with great zeal and passion. Runners also took a pledge to prevent drug abuse and to live drug-free lives.
Additional Director Shri Kesar Singh and other senior officials were present on the occasion.
