Jaipur : The Finance Department has approved ₹6.89 crore in special relief compensation for 223 houses falling within the submergence area of the Hathiyadeh medium irrigation project in Baran district. The affected villages are Karwarikalan, Karwarikhurd, and the hamlet of Hathiyadeh.
This approval was made possible by the sensitive initiative and swift directives of Water Resources Minister Shri Suresh Singh Rawat.
Originally, these 223 houses—located on government lands (grazing, drainage, and forest)—had been excluded from earlier compensation lists. Villagers met the Minister to present their case. Taking their plight seriously, Shri Rawat forwarded the departmental proposal to the State Government, which then secured Finance Department approval.
- Immediate Relief
Once the sanction is issued, compensation payments will be disbursed promptly to the affected families. This relief will provide much-needed support to villagers who have been waiting for compensation and will also accelerate the project’s construction work. Villagers have expressed their gratitude to the Minister for this decision.
“Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, the State Government’s priorities are both the development of water infrastructure and the speedy justice to affected families. This special relief compensation, approved on humanitarian grounds, will provide vital support to those impacted.”
