Arrival of Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj’s Palkhi in Indapur Taluka

State Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Dattatray Bharane Welcomes Palkhi on Behalf of the Administration

Pune : Amid the echo of taal-mridang and devotional chants of “Dnyanoba Mauli Tukaram” and “Ramkrishna Hari Jai Jai Ramkrishna Hari”, the Palkhi procession of Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj arrived today in Indapur Taluka. With the devotional spirit of “Let me be your devotee in every birth, a Warkari of Pandharpur, never missing the pilgrimage”, the atmosphere was charged with spirituality and joy.

Maharashtra’s Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare, Dattatray Bharane, visited Bhawani Nagar to offer his respects and formally welcome the Palkhi procession, which included devotional groups (Dindis) and the Palkhi chariot.

Also present were Indapur Tehsildar Jeevan Bansode, Baramati Tehsildar Ganesh Shinde, Group Development Officer Dr. Anil Bagal, and Indapur’s Sachin Khude, along with officials and staff from various departments.

Facilities Arranged for Warkaris by the Administration

The Palkhi of Sant Tukaram Maharaj is scheduled to halt at Sansar, Nimgaon Ketki, Indapur city, and Sarati within Indapur taluka. To ensure smooth arrangements for the Ashadhi Wari pilgrimage, preparations have been made by the Taluka Administration, Indapur Municipal Council, Public Works Department, National Highways Authority, Panchayat Samiti, Police Department, and Health Department.

• Free medical treatment

• Special rooms for women (Hirakani Kaksh)

• Information boards

Additionally, instructions and updates are being announced via loudspeakers to guide the pilgrims.
