Every Field in Bundelkhand Will Get Water and Every Hand Will Get Work : CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that India’s women—its ‘matrushakti’—have elevated the nation’s prestige. He said that India respects its daughters and sisters like no other place in the world, citing Raksha Bandhan as a unique celebration of sibling love that lasts for seven lifetimes—beyond comparison.

To honour this bond, the state government will increase the Raksha Bandhan gift amount for Ladli Behna Yojana beneficiaries by ₹250. From the upcoming Diwali, beneficiaries will receive ₹1500 per month, which will be increased to ₹3000 by the year 2028.

“No power in the world can stop our Ladli Behnas from receiving these benefits,” the Chief Minister declared. He added that Madhya Pradesh government is committed to empowering women in every possible way, and announced that women working in the ready-made garment sector will be given ₹5000 per month by the government.

CM Dr. Yadav was addressing the Devi Ahilyabai Nari Shakti Sammelan in Prithvipur, Niwari district, on Saturday. Expressing his emotional connection with the event, he recalled how former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had envisioned the interlinking of rivers to eradicate poverty in Bundelkhand. Acting on that vision, the state government has now launched the Ken-Betwa River Linking Project, with rapid progress underway.

During the programme, CM Dr. Yadav inaugurated and performed the Bhoomi-Poojan for several development works and distributed benefits to Ladli Laxmi Yojana beneficiaries.

CM Dr. Yadav announced Rs. 5 crore for the development of Aksharu Mata Temple in Bundelkhand,   ₹25 crore for widening (doubling) of Simra–Prithvipur Road, Establishment of a food processing unit in Niwari to support local farmers growing turmeric, ginger and garlic Support for fishermen in Niwari to improve their livelihoods. CM Dr. Yadav affirmed, “The future belongs to Bundelkhand. Every farm will get sufficient water and every hand will find work.”He emphasised fair crop pricing and better yields for farmers, highlighting that Madhya Pradesh is purchasing wheat at the highest support price in the country – Rs. 2600 per quintal.

Further, the CM Dr. yadav shared key initiatives in education and youth empowerment. He informed that Over 350 Sandipani schools are being established across the state, From July, bicycles will be provided to students who live more than 7 km from their schools, Laptops will be distributed to meritorious students and the state government is also promoting the IT sector to generate employment for talented youth.

CM Dr. Yadav made a firm statement on national security. He stated, “No country in the world can mistreat our citizens. India today doesn’t wait at its borders to fight enemies—it enters their homes and strikes back”. He referred to the Pahalgam teeror incident, where an attempt was made to dishonour Indian women. He asserted,“Our forces gave a befitting reply entering enemy territory”.

Looking ahead to Janmashtami, CM Dr. Yadav said the festival is a time to remember Mother Yashoda and her love for Shri Krishna, which symbolises the spiritual and cultural greatness of our past. He announced that all sites associated with Lord Krishna’s divine leelas will be given the status of pilgrimage sites. Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment and MP from Tikamgarh, Dr. Virendra Kumar, also addressed the event.

Shri Aidal Singh Kansana, Minister of Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development, Shri Narayan Singh Kushwah, Minister for Social Justice, Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Horticulture and Food Processing, and In-charge Minister of Niwari, MLAs Shri Anil Jain (Niwari) and Shri Harishankar Khatik (Jatara) along with former Minister Shri Rahul Singh Lodhi, along with other public representatives and a large gathering of farmers have attended the event.
