Deputy CM Eknath Shinde Inspects Ongoing Water Tourism Project at Wainganga Korambi
Bhandara : Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited the Wainganga Korambi water tourism project site in Bhandara district today to review the progress of the ongoing works. He was accompanied by Minister of State for Finance Ashish Jaiswal, MLA Narendra Bhondekar, Additional District Collector Rajendrakumar Jadhav, Superintendent of Police Nurul Hasan, Resident Deputy Collector Leena Phalke, Superintendent Engineer Rajesh Patil, and Municipal Chief Officer Karankumar Chavan.
The tourism project, being developed near Korambi village on the Wainganga River, is currently under construction. During the site visit, MLA Narendra Bhondekar provided detailed information about the project to Deputy CM Shinde. Acknowledging the tourism potential in the Vidarbha region, Shinde emphasized that the ongoing project should maintain high quality standards.
Later, Deputy CM Shinde also visited the magnificent idol of Lord Shri Ram located near Khamb Talao in Bhandara city and inspected the surrounding development works.
Project Brief:
- A world-class tourism development initiative is being undertaken at Gosikhurd Reservoir, Mouja Maudi, in Bhandara district.
- The project includes a state-of-the-art water tourism center, ramps for boats and tourists, seating arrangements, parking facilities, a cafeteria, landscaped gardens, and other amenities for visitors.
- Multiple jetties are being constructed to connect surrounding villages and other nearby tourist destinations.
- The project is slated for completion by April 2026.
