State Government Takes Key Steps; Bhamashahs Give Wings to Children’s Dreams – CM Bhajanlal Sharma
Chief Minister Honours 135 Bhamashahs
Jaipur : Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma stated that the goal of the state government is not just to impart education but to instill values, ethics, and cultural grounding in students, shaping them into ideal citizens. He emphasized that Bhamashahs, educationists, and motivators play a crucial role in making Rajasthan a leader in education, inspiring others in society to contribute meaningfully to this noble cause.
Speaking at the 29th State-Level Bhamashah Award Ceremony, held at Takshashila Auditorium, Maheshwari Public School, CM Sharma paid homage to the legendary Bhamashah who had donated his entire wealth for Maharana Pratap’s cause. He said that the spirit of selfless service and upliftment thrives in the soil of Rajasthan, with modern-day Bhamashahs still rising to the occasion when society needs them.
Emphasis on Philanthropy in Indian Culture
The Chief Minister highlighted the deep-rooted tradition of charity in Indian culture, citing scriptures that regard unconditional giving as the highest virtue. He lauded the Bhamashahs who are contributing selflessly to schools, providing financial support, and strengthening the infrastructure of government schools to ensure quality education.
13,000 Government Schools Now Have Smart Classrooms
He shared that the state government has taken several transformative steps to ensure accessible, modern, and inclusive education for every child. Nearly 14,000 government schools now have ICT labs, and 13,000 schools have smart classrooms. In addition, pre-primary classes have been initiated in 402 PM Shri Schools, laying a strong foundation from the early years. Swami Vivekananda Government Schools have also introduced primary-level classes for the first time.
Over ₹90 Crore DBT to 2.27 Lakh Girls
Emphasizing women empowerment, CM Sharma announced that ₹90 crore has been disbursed via DBT to 2.27 lakh girls under the Gargi Award and Girls’ Incentive Scheme, as a step to encourage girls’ education and support their dreams.
Outpacing the Previous Government in 1.5 Years
He noted that in just 1.5 years, his government has achieved more than the previous government did in five.
- 10.5 lakh bicycles distributed, compared to 10.36 lakh in 5 years by the previous regime.
- Over 3 lakh people trained under skill programs, compared to 2.35 lakh in 5 years earlier.
- Around 30,000 scooters distributed under the Student Scooty Scheme versus 21,000 in 5 years by the past government.
- Over 88,000 students received tablets/laptops under his leadership.
Bhamashahs Uplifting Dreams, Not Just Building Schools
CM Sharma praised Bhamashahs for investing generously in school construction, renovation, and modern educational tools. He said they are not just creating buildings, but fueling children’s aspirations and working beyond personal interests for the growth of society and the nation. Motivators are also playing a commendable role by inspiring these contributions.
Uplifting Women, Youth, Workers, and Farmers Under PM’s Leadership
Under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership, the state government is working tirelessly for the welfare of women, youth, labourers, and farmers. Through initiatives like RAJEEVIKA, rural women are becoming self-reliant. From June 24 to July 9, the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Antyodaya Support Fortnight is being organized to ensure last-mile delivery of welfare schemes. The government is targeting to make 5,000 villages poverty-free in the first phase.
CM Sharma assured the youth that no paper leak has occurred under his governance, unlike the previous term. His government aims to provide 1 lakh government jobs annually and 4 lakh jobs over 5 years. Recruitment calendars have already been published by RPSC and Staff Selection Board.
Progress on Long-Pending Infrastructure Projects
He informed that work worth ₹4,000 crore is underway to improve water availability through Indira Gandhi Canal and Ganganahar projects, the Ramjal Setu Link Project for Eastern Rajasthan, the Yamuna Water Agreement for Shekhawati, and the Dewas Project for Udaipur. Rajasthan is set to become self-reliant in electricity by 2027, enabling daytime electricity for farmers.
Modern-Day Bhamashahs Applauded
Deputy CM Dr. Premchand Bairwa called today’s donors the modern-day Bhamashahs, whose contributions to education are invaluable. He added that CM Sharma’s leadership is focused on public welfare, and those who serve society are honored through such ceremonies.
School Education Minister Shri Madan Dilawar said Bhamashahs have donated crores, enhancing educational infrastructure significantly. He highlighted a 6% improvement in exam results, expansion of education in rural areas, and the distribution of laptops/tablets and bicycles under CM Sharma’s guidance. Over 2 lakh children have been enrolled in schools under the Right to Education (RTE) Act.
Awards Presented to 135 Bhamashahs
The Chief Minister presented the “Shiksha Vibhushan” award to 35 Bhamashahs who donated over ₹1 crore, and the “Shiksha Bhushan” award to 100 Bhamashahs who contributed between ₹30 lakh and ₹1 crore. Additionally, 15 Non-Resident Rajasthani Bhamashahs from Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bengaluru were honored with commendation certificates for hosting educational conferences.
Inauguration of Shivirā E-Bulletin & Bhamashah Citation Book
Earlier, CM Sharma inaugurated a DBT transfer of over ₹1,000 crore for reimbursement of fees and transport vouchers for students from Classes 1 to 8 under RTE. He also launched new textbooks for Classes 1–5 and Sanskrit Classes 1–8, the Shivirā e-Bulletin, and the Bhamashah Citation Booklet.
The event was attended by District Head Smt. Rama Chopra, School Education Secretary Krishna Kunal, Samagra Shiksha Project Director Smt. Anupama Jorwal, Director of Primary Education Shri Sitaram Jat, Mid-Day Meal Commissioner Shri Vishwamohan Sharma, and several honored Bhamashahs, educators, and social workers.
