31 New Projects Worth ₹182.69 Crore Approved Under PM Jan Vikas Programme for 2026–27

Jaipur, May 2026: A state-level review meeting of the Minority Affairs and Waqf Department was held on Friday at the state secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary V. Srinivas. The meeting approved 31 new proposals worth ₹182.69 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK) for the financial year 2026–27.

The review focused on the progress of key departmental schemes, including the Prime Minister’s new 15-point programme and PM Jan Vikas Karyakram, assessment of pending cases, and planning for upcoming initiatives. Officials also reviewed the implementation status of various welfare and development programmes across the state.

Chief Secretary V. Srinivas stressed the need to ensure transparency and accountability in the execution of all schemes. He directed departments to follow a time-bound action plan at every level and ensure regular monitoring so that targets are achieved within stipulated timelines.

He further instructed that all departments should work in close coordination to ensure timely completion of objectives under both the 15-point programme and PM Jan Vikas Karyakram. The meeting also reviewed progress in scholarship schemes, skill development initiatives, and other welfare programmes being run by the department.

Additional Chief Secretary, Minority Affairs and Waqf Department, Ashwini Bhagat informed that out of 2,238 sanctioned works under PMJVK so far, around 98 per cent have already been completed. He added that of the 37 ongoing works, five projects are expected to be completed in the coming month. These include construction works such as a government college at Sikri in Bharatpur, a minority boys’ hostel in Masuda (Ajmer), and a primary health centre building in Garhajan, Kaman (Bharatpur).

Bhagat further stated that the remaining works will also be completed within the current financial year.

Senior officials from various departments attended the meeting, including Additional Chief Secretary (Skill & Entrepreneurship and Employment) Sandeep Verma, Additional Chief Secretary (School Education) Rajesh Kumar Yadav, Director of Minority Affairs Matadin Meena, along with other senior officers.
