Chief Minister Plants a Tree with His Mother under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ Campaign
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, on Saturday, planted a tree along with his mother, Smt. Bishna Devi, under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ (One Tree in Mother’s Name) campaign. His son, Diwakar, also participated by planting a sapling on the occasion.
The campaign aims to inspire every individual to plant a tree in honour of their mother, fostering an emotional connection that transforms environmental protection into a people’s movement.
Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Dhami said, “A mother is the first teacher of life, and nature gives us life itself. Serving both—our mother and nature—is our sacred duty.” He emphasized that the campaign carries a strong message of environmental responsibility in society.
He appealed to the people of the state to plant at least one tree in their mother’s name and to personally take care of its growth and preservation.
Present on the occasion were Principal Secretary Shri R.K. Sudhanshu, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Shri Sameer Sinha, and Additional Secretary Shri Banshidhar Tiwari.
