Strict Directives Issued in High-Level Review Meeting on Fertilizer Availability

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai chaired a high-level review meeting at Mahanadi Bhawan, Mantralaya today to assess the availability of fertilizers and seeds ahead of the upcoming kharif season. During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed officials to ensure uninterrupted supply of fertilizers to farmers across the state.

CM Sai particularly emphasized promoting the use of NPK fertilizer as a substitute for DAP and instructed officials to make farmers aware of its benefits. He directed Collectors to closely monitor the availability and distribution of fertilizers at the cooperative societies in their respective districts and to conduct regular reviews.

Highlighting the critical importance of this agricultural period for farmers, CM Sai said that any disruption in the supply of fertilizers and seeds at this time would directly affect sowing and crop productivity. He instructed officials to guarantee that adequate quantities of fertilizers are made available to farmers on time and at fair prices.

He also noted that arrangements for NPK fertilizer are being made at cooperative societies and asked officials to take immediate steps to make it accessible to farmers. Expressing serious concern over the sale of substandard and counterfeit fertilizers, he ordered strict and prompt action against such activities.
