Applications Open for Ajmer Development Authority’s Atal Housing Scheme — Dreams of Home
Ownership for EWS Families Set to Come True: Assembly Speaker; Scheme to Boost Economy, Says Water Resources Minister
Jaipur : The much-awaited and ambitious Atal Housing Scheme at Chachiyawas, launched by the Ajmer Development Authority (ADA), opened for online applications today. The initiative was formally launched by Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani and Water Resources Minister Shri Suresh Singh Rawat. Of the 270 total plots available in the scheme, 191 will be allotted via a lottery system. Online applications have begun and will remain open until 11:30 PM on 31 July 2025, with the lottery expected to be drawn on 21 August 2025.
Speaker Devnani praised the scheme as a commendable step in public interest. He said it would be particularly beneficial for families from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) who have long dreamt of owning a home at an affordable price but were unable to do so.
Commending the Ajmer Development Authority’s effort, Devnani said such schemes encourage planned urban development while ensuring housing security for the common public. He also directed ADA officials to prioritize the development of previously launched but incomplete schemes such as the Prithviraj Nagar Project to ensure broader public benefit.
Minister Suresh Rawat added that since the Atal Housing Scheme is located within the Pushkar Assembly constituency, it is imperative that more such schemes be planned for the area. He highlighted past efforts by ADA such as the Ecological Farmhouse Scheme at Surajkund and the Resort Project at Hokara Village, which have promoted tourism and strengthened the local economy.
He further proposed accelerating the plan to develop Kans Village as a wedding destination. Proximity to Pushkar, a spiritual and cultural hub, makes it ideal for wedding tourism. Such projects could generate local employment and boost the regional economy.
ADA Commissioner Smt. Nitya K. shared technical details about the scheme:
