On the Occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar Extends Greetings to the People of Maharashtra
Mumbai : “Ashadhi Wari is a glorious tradition of devotion to Lord Pandurang of Pandharpur, the strength of the Warkari community, spiritual discipline, and faith in the ideals of equality. It is a powerful movement of Maharashtra’s spiritual and cultural wealth. For centuries, the Warkari sect undertaking the pilgrimage to Pandharpur has enriched and guided the social and cultural life of Maharashtra. Even today, lakhs of Warkaris walk towards Pandhari, chanting the name of Lord Hari, and through their actions, spread the message of unity, equality, and brotherhood. This is the strength of Maharashtra’s spiritual and cultural unity, and it is our responsibility to preserve and enhance it,” said Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in his Ashadhi Ekadashi message. He offered his obeisance to Lord Pandurang and Goddess Rukmini and extended warm wishes to Warkaris, farmers, and hardworking citizens of the state.
In his greeting message, Deputy CM Pawar further stated, “Through Ashadhi Wari, we not only uphold but also advance Maharashtra’s spiritual tradition and cultural movement. While doing so, it is equally important to preserve the Marathi language and culture, to ensure the voice of Marathi resonates strongly, and to keep the flag of Maharashtra’s progress flying high. May we be granted the strength to strive toward this goal. May the state receive good rainfall this year, may farmers’ fields flourish with crops, and their homes be blessed with abundance. May every household in the state be filled with happiness, peace, contentment, and prosperity,” he prayed at the feet of Lord Pandurang.
Praising the discipline, cleanliness, spirit of service, mutual cooperation, and social commitment seen during the Wari, Deputy CM Pawar said, “The Wari teaches us the values of social unity, selfless devotion, and the true essence of humanity. We must harness this very energy for the development of Maharashtra.” With this message, he extended heartfelt Ashadhi Ekadashi greetings to the people of the state.
